Playing Dress Up

We've had Jeremy's suit for a couple of months now... and he'd yet to try it on.... with news from his brother that his pants were too little.... Jeremy realized he needed to try his on....


they are WAY too small!!!! But he looked pretty cute anyway!



On theknot.com one of the lovely girls, Shannon, let us all in on a little J. Crew secret.... there is a distribution center in Asheville that has a clearance store, and they host a "yard sale" once a month (which we thought was the first Saturday of the month... but not this month... it was sad to drive all the way there, and not get to experience it... oh well)

I still found this AMAZING dress!!! I had no idea the clearance store sold their cocktail attire, much less their wedding dresses!!!!

OMG I Found Them!!!!!!!!!

Jeremy picked out some awesome brown paisley ties for the guys to wear.... he decided he wanted an orange paisley tie... we bought this one on tiebar.com



I found these a couple of weeks ago, while hunting for a different pair of Via Spigas..... but they were sold out EVERYWHERE!!!!

until this morning..... one pair of 6.5s were on zappos!!!!

Got it!!

I received a couple of goodies over the last few days.....

1. My boudoir photo book (Jeremy's wedding gift!)

2. My Anthropologie wrap and belt.... OMG SOOO CUTE!

3. Jeremy and my dad's shirt for the wedding :-)

4. I found an awesome, very basic white dress for the reception :-) AND... it looks awesome with that new orange belt :-)

This is the closest thing I can find to it.... (It's pretty exact)

BLEH.... $98 my ass... I paid $24.99!

Menswear

... has been arriving box by box

Belks has been shipping us all our Geoffry Beene pieces from different Belks stores... our living room has been taken over by the empty boxes the last few days.... finally got most of the pants and jackets paired up to give out.... currently they are hanging in the guest bath....

We are still waiting on one jacket and one pair of pants, Jeremy's dad picked up his and his brother's yesterday... so here's what's left.....

I'm back today though!

I spent most of Tuesday afternoon scowering all the Marshall's and TJ Maxx's in the triangle area for our groomsman's shirts.... after finding a shirt Jeremy and I both liked (even though it didn't have French cuffs, and Jeremy wanted them) we decided they were a great buy at $15 each. They were the right color, a pale ivory, which we'd found was proving to be a difficult find. We decided to get Jeremy a shirt that looks exactly the same but does have French cuffs.... I found him one, bought it, but it's too big, so I will keep hunting.... I will post pictures later.

President's Day Finds!

I had to make a trip to Winston last night for work, so I told Jeremy that I would stop by Hanes Mall to look at ties and shirts in Belks since that's where we are getting our guys suits (which should be ordered very soon!) They are giving us 15% off our total purchase, so we wanted to get as much as we could there! We stopped in the Belks at Northlake on Sunday to see if they had any ivory, french cuff shirts.... nope. But we were told that Geoffry Beene did make one, so I went looking for it in Winston.... they didn't have a GB one, but another brand, that I think we're gonna go with. Well while at Northlake we found some paisley print ties that Jeremy loved! So while in Winston I looked for them in brown for the guys and in ivory or orange for him. Found 3 in brown, so we need 4 more. I found him 2 ties, he liked them, but decided he wanted a paisley print tie too. So they are going back.

I also popped in Marshalls and found 2 matching candle holders that are awesome!!!

Guys Attire

After debating tux vs. no tux we've decided.... NO TUX.... it's just not necessary for our outdoor soirée! We decided that all the guys will buy suits! We like these from Belks!
